PAYMENT INFRASTRUCTURE · SEPTEMBER 12, 2026
Two announcements.
One useful distinction.
Payment infrastructure is developing. An announcement is not the same as a service being available to every customer.
Merktop LLC · Michael Vargas. Source-checked and published September 12, 2026. Company-authored educational briefing, not independent investment research.
COINBASE · ANNOUNCEMENT: SEPTEMBER 10, 2026
Coinbase and Moov target community-bank stablecoin payments.
Coinbase announced a partnership with Moov on September 10 to bring stablecoin payment acceptance, settlement and real-time funding into infrastructure used by community banks and credit unions. For businesses, the practical opportunity is access to new payment capabilities through existing financial relationships.
The announcement is not proof that every institution or customer already has access. It also does not establish any integration, commercial partnership or endorsement involving Merktop. Availability must be checked with the relevant provider.

CIRCLE · ANNOUNCEMENT: SEPTEMBER 8, 2026
Circle agrees to acquire Tazapay; closing remains pending.
Circle announced a definitive agreement to acquire Tazapay on September 8. The proposed deal would expand Circle's cross-border payment infrastructure through Tazapay's banking relationships and local payout coverage. Circle expects closing in 2027, subject to customary conditions and regulatory approvals, including Singapore's monetary authority.
For payment businesses, this is a development to watch—not a newly available payout service to assume today. The announcement does not establish a Merktop integration, change Merktop's supported cash-out routes or imply Circle's approval of Merktop.
